About the Role:
Our kennel technicians care for boarding dogs and cats, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being throughout their stay. Compassion for animals and their owners is a must, as is a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with clients and team members.
- Arrive on time and reliably for scheduled shifts.
- Feed, exercise, and provide enrichment for boarded animals.
- Clean and sanitize dog runs and cat condos.
- Check pets in and out of boarding, engaging positively with their owners.
- Administer medications to boarded animals as directed.
- Perform laundry duties (lots of towels and blankets!).
- Bathe dogs and perform basic grooming tasks such as brush-outs and toenail trims.
- Conduct daily cleaning and light maintenance in the boarding area and throughout the hospital.
Please note: You should expect to spend the majority of your time in the boarding area.
